William Eggleston once said “I don‘t have a burning desire to go out and document anything. It just happens when it happens. It‘s not concious effort, nor is it a struggle. Wouldn‘t do it if it was.”
And to that I say: shut up❤️
I think that one of the greatest things in life (besides bagels) is the ability to take photos. Infact I do have a strong impulse to document everything and anything—to capture moments so other people can see what I see and feel what I feel. You SHOULD try hard to take photos!
I have never been someone who is really into taking photos of things besides me, my friends, food, funny stuff and aesthetic stuff. But I sure do enjoy looking at photos!
In my last post I shared with you 21 photographers whose work I really enjoy but I also really want to share with you guys some more artists who I am totally obsessed with and that are seriously insane at what they do and you can tell they love photo taking❤️!
rafał pierzchałaI originally found his work on tumblr and was so obsessed!! the screenshots I am showing you do NOT do him justice!!! His instagram2 has such a great layout!! I really love his documentry style and the colours/tones he chooses to use.
And on a totally opposite vibe he has another account3 where the colours are so bright and sort of energetic and I love the contrast!!!
A trend you can see across his work would prob be a lot of brutalism and muted colours and it also has a lot of the same colours to highlight building structures!
David Cousin Marsey I don‘t know how I came scross his work4 but it is so fun to look at! He5 is an urban and architectural freelance photographer who lives in Paris! I took a HUGE scroll down and saw that when he was first started he took lots photos of home interiors but as time went on you can see him photographing architecture more and more!
When you look at his work you mainly see a lot of doors, and windows, and people (walking) and I think it a little cool and symbolistic to see people just doing their thing and in their natural habitat!
Joan CalsinaHe is so versatile in his work and his ideas seem so interesting and the way that he brings it to life is literally the coolest thing ever. I originally found his work on the T and it was this photo! ⬇
O️n his website6 , he writes that as an author he uses photography with an expressive, observant and inquiristic sense from the vision of himself towards the world. And I really love that he is confident in what he does! You can see all his works hes done from personal to commisioned work and with most of his projects he explains what he wanted it to mean and his ideas behind the visuals that he presents for the world❤️ sooooo hip!
If there is one thing I really regret it would be not taking more photos and yeah it does sound cringe but wouldn‘t it be really nice to look back at yourself and your life from a different time? I have this little self challange where I try to take at least one photo a day! Even if its just of the sky or food or the floor I can look back on it and be reminded of what was happening or my thoughts at the time!
But something I ALSO LOVE is when people don‘t limit themaelves to just one photo and then they do collages! here is an example! ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️
What the heck? this is literally so cool👏
I also wanted to show you guys some of my fav photos (not ranked)
I think that anyone who knows me knows that Tumblr is such a big part of me—its really my biggest inspo and I am so glad that I can still find things I love and new things too—I love finding photos that satisfiy my eyes and my want to discover aesthetically..❤️❤️ and while I may not consider myself a photographer I still deeply resonate with them❤️❤️
ok thats all bai
